The DIY Kokedama Moss Ball Kit makes doing it yourself fun AND easy. Everything you need to make your very own kokedama moss ball is included, even the plant!

 

Kokedama is a traditional bonsai discipline in which the roots of a plant are bound into a spherical form with moss and clay. The Japanese word, Kokedama, translates to "moss ball," and the practice originated in Japan during the Edo Era, c.1600.

  • Place your kokedama in the water, plant side up. Push the moss ball down so that it is fully submerged and begins to absorb water. Allow to soak for 10-25 minutes, or until fully saturated with water. Remove kokedama the water, and gently squeeze the moss ball to allow excess water to drain.
